Webthru is the Digital Network Carmera, integrating high resolution camera, image compression algorithm and network technology, for the remote surveillance. Since Webthru is self-contained camera, the users don't need to add any H/W or S/W for their specific purpose, and just to connect to the LAN cable and power on is enough procedure to install. One of the outstanding fortes of Webthru is in the Wavelet compression algorithm, which is more effective and stable and creditable than JPEG up to 300% therefore the data transmission could be much faster and more creditable. For the Wavelet compression algorithm, the progressive transmission and progressive recovery method could be adopted and eventually waiting time could be much lessened. Webthru could apply to almost all the purpose, if only there is the need to see remotely , including Construction Site, Equipment Surveillance, and it is developed as an Image Surveillance device containing the function of TCP/IP and Web-server inside, Webthru has the function of the Image Surveillance Camera through internet, and the user could see the real-time, vivid image through the internet browser only with simple information of the IP address of Webthru. And the users could make up their own homepage and even the Web-contents with the devices.
2. To view the Webthru using Netscape browser...
If you want to see the real-time images of Webthru using Netscape browser, you must install the the Webthru Plugin for Netscape Browser.
the procedure of the plugin setup is as the following.
1) Enter the IP address of the Webthru Camera as a URL such as http://203.243.232.170/ using Netscape Browser.
2) Setup the Webthru plugin using the Netscape Smart Update
the Webthru PlugIn for Netscape is self-contained by the Webthru camera. When you to do access the Webthru, automatically the browser is destined to the plugin installation page if your browser have no Webthru plugin or in case of the mismatched version of the plugin. the installation of the plugin takes only one step. go to the Webthru Plugin installation page and press the "download" button. if the version of the plugin is different with the installed plugin, please, do re-install the Webthru PlugIn.
3. To view the Webthru using IE-Explorer browser
If you want to see the real-time images of Webthru using IE-Explorer browser, you must install the the Webthru Plugin and the activeX control for IE-Explorer Browser. the plugin used in the server-push, the activeX control will be used as the live image viewer.
If the activeX control not installed in your system or upgraded, the installation of activeX control automatically will be taken. And we recomemd the use of IE-Explorer browser 4.0/5.0 or the above.
4. The runtime errors of the plugin/activeX control...
4.1 Software version mismatched ..
If you see the message box like as "Mismatched Version", please, do re-install the plugin or ActiveX control contained in the Webthru.
